Shock in Europe

after ‘deliberate’

Germanwings crash

Marignane (France) (AFP) – The co-pilot of the doomed Germanwings flight appears to have “deliberately” crashed the plane after locking his captain out of the cockpit, French officials said Thursday, in revelations that sparked global shock and prompted some airlines to review their cockpit policies. In a chilling account of the final minutes of Germanwings Flight 4U 9525, lead prosecutor Brice Robin said 28-year-old German Andreas Lubitz initiated the plane’s descent Tuesday into the French Alps while alone at the controls. Lubitz appeared to “show a desire to want to destroy” the plane, Robin told reporters after his team analysed the Airbus A320’s cockpit voice recorder. “The screams are heard only in the last instants before the impact,” he said. “The co-pilot was alone at the controls,” he said. “[He] deliberately refused to open the door of the cockpit to the pilot.” The pilot, believed to have gone to the toilet, made increasingly furious attempts to re-enter the cockpit, banging on the door, the recordings appear to show.
Germanwings plane crash:

Co-pilot ‘wanted to

destroy plane’

bbc.com  –  27 March 2015
The co-pilot of the Germanwings flight that crashed in the French Alps, named as Andreas Lubitz, appeared to want to “destroy the plane”, officials said. Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin, citing information from the “black box” voice recorder, said the co-pilot was alone in the cockpit. He intentionally started a descent while the pilot was locked out. Mr Robin said there was “absolute silence in the cockpit” as the pilot fought to re-enter it. He said air traffic controllers made repeated attempts to contact the aircraft, but to no avail. Passengers could be heard screaming just before the crash, he added. Details are emerging of the German co-pilot’s past – although his apparent motives for causing the crash remain a mystery. The Airbus 320 from Barcelona to Duesseldorf hit a mountain, killing all 144 passengers and six crew, after an eight-minute descent.
Germanwings Flight 9525

co-pilot deliberately

crashed plane, officials say

Transponder data shows that the autopilot on Germanwings Flight 9525 was reprogrammed by someone in the cockpit to change the plane’s altitude from 38,000 feet to 100 feet, according to Flightradar24, a website that tracks aviation data.
The co-pilot of Germanwings Flight 9525 purposely crashed the plane into the French Alps, killing all 150 people on board, officials said Thursday. “We at Lufthansa are speechless that this aircraft has been deliberately crashed by the co-pilot,” said Carsten Spohr, CEO of Lufthansa, which owns Germanwings. Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin said the co-pilot, 27-year-old German national Andreas Lubitz, apparently “wanted to destroy the aircraft.” It’s unknown whether Lubitz planned his actions, Robin said. But he “took advantage” of a moment in which the pilot left the cockpit and “activated the descent,” which can only be done deliberately. The plane’s cockpit audio recorder captured horrific sounds. The captain, somehow locked out of the cockpit, can be heard banging on the door, Robin said. And screaming can be heard on the audio recording for the final few minutes of the flight. For those on board when the plane plunged into the mountains, Robin said, death was instantaneous.

Passengers with moments to live screamed in terror and the pilot frantically pounded on the locked cockpit door as a 27-year-old German co-pilot deliberately and wordlessly smashed an Airbus carrying 150 people into an Alpine mountainside. The account Thursday of the final moments of Germanwings Flight 9525 prompted some airlines to immediately impose stricter cockpit rules — and raised haunting questions about the motive of the co-pilot, whose breathing never wavered as he destroyed the plane and the lives of those aboard. “We have no idea of the reason,” Marseille Prosecutor Brice Robin said, revealing the chilling conclusions investigators reached after reconstructing the final minutes of the flight from the plane’s black box voice recorder.

Air Canada plane touched down

short of runway, lost landing gear

Air Canada jet skids off runway, 25 injured
CNN  –  Updated 2314 GMT (0614 HKT)
March 29, 2015
(CNN) – An Air Canada jet touched down short of the runway at an airport in Halifax early Sunday, hitting an antenna, severing a power line and losing its landing gear before skidding to a stop. The aircraft, an Airbus A320, touched down about 1,100 feet short of the runway, said Mike Cunningham, a regional manager of air investigations at the Transportation Safety Board of Canada. From there, it hit an antenna array that’s part of the airport’s landing system and severed a power line. That caused “significant damage” to the plane and cut off power to Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia, he said. The plane skidded for another 1,100 feet on its belly before coming to a stop. Investigators haven’t determined yet what caused the accident, Cunningham said. The plane’s so-called black boxes are on their way to engineers for analysis, he said, and dozens more investigators are set to arrive at the crash site Monday. Twenty-five people, including the two pilots, were treated for minor injuries at a hospital, said Klaus Goersch, Air Canada executive vice president and COO. By Sunday afternoon, all but one passenger was released. Goersch called the incident “very unsettling” and said that the company is cooperating with authorities in an investigation. Questioned by reporters, Goersch said that the weather was safe enough for a plane to land. He declined to speculate on a cause for the crash, saying investigators will make that determination.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada says an Air Canada plane that crashed at the Halifax Airport touched down more than 300 metres before arriving at the runway and hit an antenna array on the ground. TSB investigator Mike Cunningham says the antenna array is part of the airport’s landing system. That impact caused “considerable damage” to the aircraft’s landing gear, and the plane skidded on its belly for another 335 metres.    ctvnews.ca / Sunday, March 29, 2015   12:57AM EDT

Selasa tanggal 24 Maret 2015 malam sekitar jam 19.22 aku selesai memuat dua surat sebelum ini, salah satu diantaranya “Respon Premier League Ke Soal 8 At 40 Lalu 150 Tewas Di Pesawat 4U 9525“.

Co-pilot sengaja menurunkan ketinggian pesawat hingga menubruk pegunungan Alpen.
