Nama depan Bastian seperti mengingatkan aku pada kata-kata bahasa Padang, karena beberapa tahun belakangan ini aku sering disokong dana oleh kakakku Faisal yang menikah dengan orang Padang. Dalam bahasa Padang awalan “ber” menjadi “ba”, misalkan kata “bersama” kalau dalam bahasa Padang adalah “basamo”. Safarova made the Wimbledon semi-finals last year, but is through to her first Grand Slam final. The 28-year-old will try to match the achievement of her compatriot, Hana Mandlikova, who won the title in 1981. It was seventh seed Ivanovic, playing her first major semi-final since winning the title in 2008, who started better as she raced 5-2 ahead, only to crumble with the set in her grasp. Ivanovic said: “I really started well, like every other match. I really had a good plan coming into the match, but I just felt like I ran a little bit out of gas. “I started dropping short and she played really, really well. She was very aggressive.”

The explosion occurred as hundreds huddled under the cover of the gas station and nearby shops to stay dry. A leak at the station sparked the explosion, which spread to a pharmacy and other nearby businesses, Mahama said in a statement. Victims included drivers of public transportation and their passengers, who were waiting out the rain away from open bus terminals, authorities said. Others were motorists who had stopped to refuel, said Ebenezer Ampaabeng from Ghana Broadcasting Corp. Some residents survived the fire, only to be swept away by the gushing waters.			ACCRA, Ghana — The death toll from a huge gas station explosion and flooding in Ghana’s capital has more than doubled to 150 people, the president said Thursday night. Dozens of people had sought shelter at the gas station and in nearby shops in central Accra to escape the torrential rains at the time of Wednesday night’s blast. Flooding swept fuel being stored at the station into a nearby fire, triggering the explosion that also set ablaze neighboring buildings, officials said. Multiple bus terminals connect the area to the rest of the city. Eleven people have died and eight others are missing after an earthquake near Malaysia’s highest peak, a minister for tourism has said. The bodies were recovered from Mount Kinabalu, on the island of Borneo, after a 6.0 magnitude quake triggered landslides. Some 137 climbers were stranded on the mountain for several hours but have now made it to safety. Local media say a Singaporean girl and a local guide are among the dead. Sabah tourism minister Masidi Manjun tweeted: “The 137 climbers have safely arrived at the Park HQ, the last batch at 2.50 am.” He later confirmed that 11 bodies had been found and rescue teams were searching for eight people still unaccounted for. The earthquake was so powerful it also snapped off one of Mount Kinabalu’s “Donkey’s Ear” peaks, Mr Manjun added. Bad weather hampered rescue efforts on Friday, preventing helicopters from landing on the mountain. Many of the climbers had to make their own way down with the help of tour guides and park rangers.			Two days after a deadly earthquake in Malaysia launched perilous rock slides toward mountain hikers, more devastation and more hope emerged. Authorities recovered several more bodies from the slopes of Mount Kinabalu, bringing the death toll from Friday’s quake to at least 16, a Malaysian tourism minister said Sunday. Two people remain missing on the mountain, minister Masidi Manjun said. But one person who was thought to be missing has been found safe. While hundreds of workers continue searching for the missing, two countries grieve. Sunday’s Malaysian Kaamatan celebration — a harvest festival — in Ranau has been canceled “as (a) mark of respect to those who perished,” Manjun said. He also tweeted that Monday will be a day of mourning in the state of Sabah. And Singapore is mourning the loss of several students and at least one teacher from a primary school who were on a trip to Mount Kinabalu when the magnitude-6.0 quake struck.

Warren Buffett has long been a fan of China, admiring its rapid growth and global influence. What is also becoming clear is that China is a big fan of his. A Chinese online-game developer last week bid $2.35 million in a charity auction for the privilege of dining with Mr. Buffett. Zhu Ye, the chairman of Dalian Zeus Entertainment Co., is expected to bring up to seven guests to the U.S. to have lunch with the billionaire investor. This year’s bid is one of the highest in 16 years of the auction, through which Mr. Buffett has raised $20 million for a San Francisco charity. It is also the second time someone from China has been named as the top bidder; in 2008, investor Zhao Danyang paid $2.1 million. The auction benefits the Glide Foundation, a San Francisco charity that works for the city’s poor and homeless. Under the auction’s rules, both individuals and companies can bid. The winner can invite up to seven guests of his or her choice to the lunch. A representative for Dalian Zeus didn’t respond to a request for comment.			Talk about a rich meal. The winning bid on Friday to have lunch with Warren Buffett was a whopping $2.35 million from Chinese gaming company Da Lian Zeus Entertainment. Each year, Buffett auctions off an invitation to lunch on eBay (EBAY, Tech30). The proceeds go to GLIDE, a charity that runs a number of anti-poverty programs in San Francisco. Last year, Singaporean businessman Andy Chua paid $2.2 million to dine with Buffett. The highest price ever paid for this power lunch was $3.5 million by an anonymous bidder in 2012. The winner can bring along up to seven friends. They typically dine at Smith & Wollensky steakhouse in New York City. Since 2004, Alan Stillman, founder of Smith & Wollensky, has donated at least $10,000 each year to GLIDE to host the lunch. “The divides are getting bigger between the haves and have-nots. Mr. Buffett inspires others who have the means to help bridge that divide,” said Janice Mirikitani, co-founder of GLIDE. Many bidders hope of striking a special jackpot: the chance to work with Buffett. However, in all these years, former fund manager Ted Weschler is the only person who went on to work for Berkshire Hathaway (BRKA) after he won two consecutive auctions, spending nearly $5.3 million. Waktu itu setelah aku kerja beberapa bulan disitu, lalu perusahaan memerlukan tambahan Art Director untuk iklan karena order pekerjaan bertambah. Setelah diseleksi, yang diterima adalah pak Dalian Lubis. Dan, ini yang menarik, beberapa hari kemudian aku baru tahu dia itu tinggal di dekat rumahku waktu itu di jalan Sukabumi, dia tinggal di jalan Sindanglaya di rumah temanku asal Palembang Wance Panhar yang masih famili sama dia.			Penampilan pak Dalian Lubis itu kurus tinggi berkacamata, kulit sawo matang, rambut berjambul tinggi, sepintas seperti versi Indonesia dari bintang film yang bermain dalam film Ghostbusters yang beredar beberapa tahun kemudian pada tahun 1984. Nama bintang film itu Harold Ramis, dan baru meninggal dunia tahun lalu pada 24 Februari 2014 yang lalu. Jadi ini seperti memuat isyarat juga untuk aku, sebab nama Harold Ramis itu seperti terkait nama Prince Harry yang adik dari Prince William seperti aku yang adik dari kakakku Faisal. Seperti mengingatkan aku agar konsisten untuk melakukan perjalanan menggali inspirasi sebelum ketemu ajal, dan jangan “Harry Old“, aku menunda perjalanan itu sampai tua.

Beberapa bulan setelah aku mulai kerja di kantor iklan Circle Five tahun 1978, perusahaan membuka lowongan baru untuk Art Director dan setelah seleksi yang diterima adalah pak Dalian Lubis. Sesudah lebih dari seminggu, aku baru tahu pak Dalian Lubis itu tinggal di rumah temanku Wance Panhar di jalan Sindanglaya 2, tidak seberapa jauh dari tempat tinggalku di jalan Sukabumi 13.

Like Ramis, they emerged from the take-no-prisoners “Saturday Night Live’’/Second City school of improvisational comedy that evolved out of the ’60s counterculture to reinvigorate the genre on TV in the late 1970s before moving en masse into movies. Ramis also helped develop Murray into an equally distinctive (and unlikely) movie star in his directing debut, “Caddyshack’’ (1980), as well as the war comedy “Stripes’’ (1981) — which Ramis wrote and co-starred in for director Ivan Reitman. The pair’s biggest hit was the Reitman-directed “Ghostbusters” (1984), which starred Murray, Aykroyd and Ramis (as the brainiest of the trio) in an inventively funny script by Ramis and Aykroyd that launched an entire genre of special-effects driven comedies.

The star found fame as bespectacled ghost-hunter Egon Spengler in the Ghostbusters franchise in 1984. But he was also a talented writer and director, whose credits included Caddyshack and Animal House. “His creativity, compassion, intelligence, humour and spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him,” said his family in a statement.			Harold Ramis, a writer, director and actor whose boisterous but sly silliness helped catapult comedies like “Groundhog Day,” “Ghostbusters,” “Animal House” and “Caddyshack” to commercial and critical success, died on Monday in his Chicago-area home. He was 69. The cause was complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a disease that involves swelling of blood vessels, said Chris Day, a spokesman for United Talent Agency, which represented Mr. Ramis. His breakthrough came in 1978 when he joined Douglas Kenney and Chris Miller to write “National Lampoon’s Animal House,” which starred Mr. Belushi and broke the box-office record for comedies at the time. Tanggal 12 Juni 2015 surat ini sudah hampir selesai, dan selagi aku menambah bagian-bagian yang diperlukan sambil membuka halaman situs-situs terkait, sepintas terlihat ada berita aktor Christopher Lee meninggal dunia. Terus terang aku tidak terlalu ingat apakah beliau itu sudah meninggal atau belum, karena ada banyak aktor dan kadang kita tertukar mengingat aktor lain. Baru pada 13 Juni 2015 aku periksa lebih lanjut di Internet, aktor Christopher Lee yang dikenal sebagai pemeran Dracula, dan juga main di beberapa film terkenal lain seperti Star Wars, James Bond, Lord Of The Rings, meninggal dunia pada 7 Juni 2015 di rumah sakit Chelsea and Westminster hospital, London, akibat kegagalan pernafasan dan jantung. Karena aku memang tidak terlalu sering nonton film, selama ini aku cuma tahu Christopher Lee dari film Dracula saja. Namun karena berita kematian terjadi pada 7 Juni 2015 di sekitar kejadian-kejadian yang aku sebut diatas,			jadi seperti bagian dari isyarat juga untuk aku, terutama terkait “isyarat DALY lewat Christopher Murray” dan “Christoph Mueller yang ditunjuk jadi CEO baru Malaysia Airlines sejak awal 2015“. Untuk aku, jadi semakin berat beban kalau aku tidak memberi respon positif terhadap isyarat-isyarat itu. Apalagi diantara situs-situs yang memuat kematian aktor Christopher Lee itu adalah situs Christian Science Monitor yang menggunakan headline “Christopher Lee was Dracula, Saruman, and a heavy metal musician”. Diantara berbagai tokoh yang diperankan oleh aktor Christopher Lee, situs Christian Science Monitor memilih peran beliau sebagai Saruman untuk dipasang di headline. Mengingatkan pada kata bahasa Indonesia “saru” yang berarti “menyamar”, jadi seperti mengingatkan agar jangan sampai berbagai isyarat itu aku tidak pedulikan padahal mungkin ada yang muncul “menyamar” di dunia ini menjelang kiamat.

Sir Christopher Lee, the veteran actor and star of many of the world’s biggest film franchises, has died aged 93. The English-born actor, who made his name playing Dracula and Frankenstein‘s monster in the Hammer horror films, appeared in more than 250 movies. He was best-known for his villainous roles – including Scaramanga in James Bond and evil wizard Saruman in The Lord of the Rings. The actor’s other credits include The Wicker Man and Star Wars. The actor is reported to have died on Sunday at Chelsea and Westminster hospital in London, after being hospitalised for respiratory problems and heart failure. A Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea council spokesman said: “We can confirm that the Register Office issued a death certificate for Mr Christopher Lee on Monday 8 June, Mr Lee died on Sunday 7 June.” He was knighted in 2009 for services to drama and charity and was awarded a Bafta fellowship in 2011. His 6ft 4in frame and pointed features often typecast him as a bad guy. His distant cousin Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond books, wanted him to play Dr No in the film of the same name – but that role went to Joseph Wiseman. Lee eventually starred as Scaramanga in 1974’s The Man With The Golden Gun.			Sir Christopher Lee has died aged 93. The London-born actor – who was best known for his role as Count Dracula in a string of popular Hammer Horror movies – died on Sunday (07.06.15) in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital after being treated for respiratory problems, his family confirmed. Sir Christopher – who was knighted for services to drama and charity in 2009 – married Danish model Birgit ‘Gitte’ Kroencke in 1961 and the decision to delay the announcement of his death was because Birgit wanted to inform family members first.

	Christopher Lee began his acting career at the end of World War II and continued his work for over 60 years. The British icon is best known for his roles as Dracula in the 1958 Hammer horror film, the evil Count Dooku in “Star Wars: Attack of the Clones” and “Revenge of the Sith,” and Saruman in “Lord of the Rings,” among countless others. During World War II, Mr. Lee served in the Royal Air Force and the Special Forces. He was reluctant to reveal the full details in a 2011 interview with the Telegraph, but said, unsurprisingly, that his foray into the horror film industry was inconsequential in comparison to the real horror he witnessed in war. “I always ask myself, ‘Well, what else could I do?’ Making films has never just been a job to me. It is my life. I have some interests outside of acting – I sing and I’ve written books, for instance – but acting is what keeps me going. It’s what I do. It gives life purpose.” Lee proved this with the release of his own album in 2010 titled Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross. It was well-received by the heavy metal community and won an award at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods ceremony.
